Indescribableが出負け、後は揃ったスタートで、Ginger Punchも前を伺うが、ハナを切ったのはMoon Catcher。Copper Stateが2番手、Ginger Punchは3番手、Runway Rosieがその外で、Indescribableも内ピッタリで挽回し全馬一団で進んでゆく。
Moon Catcherのペースはゆったりしたもので、中盤では最後方まであまり差が無い状態となる。3コーナーで各馬進出を開始、Ginger Punchも動こうとするが、外から先にRunway Rosieが前に出て3頭が並び、Ginger Punchの前は壁、4番手のまま未だ控えざるを得なくなる。
4コーナー出口で3頭がややばらけた所を狙い、今度はRunway Rosieにぶつけるように前進するGinger Punch。そこから再び内へ進路をとると、Moon CatcherとCopper Stateの間を割って出る。Copper Stateが粘って付いてくるが、それをしっかり振り切って、Ginger Punchが1着。3着にはIndescribable。
Ginger Punchは重いハンデもものともせず、女王の力を見せ付けた。同レース連覇は初。この後はベルデイムSへ向かう見込み。
